What is a hub and how does it work?

The possibility to follow the conference via streaming is created in the hubs, usually the stream takes place in a lecture hall. Networking will so be made possible locally and on a smaller scale, insofar this will be possible and permitted at the respective locations in September. The organization of the hubs and what is offered exactly during the streaming (coffee breaks, small buffets, … ) and how the conference dinner will look like, depends on the local organizing teams and on the corona safety measures at the different locations

Will workshops and excursions take place and how?

Yes, workshops and adapted excursions will take place online. For the workshops you will receive a link via email one day before the event. You can then simply join in via the link by clicking on “Participate”. There is the possibility for the workshop leader to create so called break-up rooms, so that working in smaller groups is possible.

The participation procedure for the excursions is the same as for the workshops, you also get a link via email. In a video about the capital of the alps, you will have the opportunity to see the beauty of this city and to get to know about its sightseeings.  The company Adler-Lacke will be presented in a video and a talk about the company. This will be followed by a Q&A session. Scientists from the NOI-Techpark will present their research in short talks (20 min) and you will get an insight into the different topics of the researchers and their labs.

Is every individual person able to watch this stream at home? Or will it be a personal livestream that can only be watched at such a hub? What are the costs in both cases?

Yes, every individual person has the possibility to watch the stream from home. In case of the hubs, you have the possibility to watch the stream together with other people. Free registration for participation from home and also for the hub participation.
